Introduction

The law has changed and we want to be as transparent as possible with how we use your data and how we collect it.

The Data Protection Act has not changed in over 20 years! Times and technology have changed and progressed so much in that time. The new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) has been created with protecting everyone in mind and we fully support it.

The information we collect about you.

We collect information about you when you visit our website to order from us?

When you place an order

We will have access to your personal information purely on a contractural level. We will use the personal information you have supplied to process your order. Our website uses a SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate to make sure every page you visit is secure (look for the padlock on the web address bar).

We will never share your details with third parties that do not relate to processing or payment of your order.

We will store your details if you have ordered from us purely to make reordering easier for you. These details will never be passed to anyone or used for unsolicited marketing.

Contacting us through the website

When contacting us through the website we will store the original message on our secure and private server. Any information you pass to us through email will only be accessed and managed for the original intent of the message and will never be passed or shared to anyone unrelating to the subject matter without prior consent by you.

Email subscription service

We will never contact you with news or marketing related emails or calls unless you have specifically signed up to receive news or marketing emails or calls from us.
You will always have the option to unsubscribe at any time.

Social Media

By using Social Media you will have agreed to their terms and conditions of use upon creating your account. Please visit the individual platform to make sure you agree with their privacy policies and the use of your data.

Any private messages and the content within them will never be shared with anyone outside of Gummee Ltd or publicly without express consent.

Any pictures you share will never be re-shared without your permission.

Competition winners will be asked to contact us privately to give an address to send their prize to. This information will be used solely for this reason. In the case of collaborations with other businesses, you understand that your address will be shared across the businesses supplying prizes for the sole purpose of delivery to you.

How we use the information we collect

The information we collect about you is purely to process enquiries or orders made by you to us. We will only contact you if we have your express permission to do so and will never pass your personal information to those parties that are not related to carrying out the original request.

We use third party widgets on our website.

These widgets will collect data that tell us collective information about the types of people that visit our site, which pages they visited and whether they purchased a product. It does not tell us personal details, such as name or address. This information is purely for use with analytics and to make sure our ads are targeted to the right group of people. Who is collecting your data for us

Gummee will at times use a third party service provider to assist with the running of our business. These third party service providers are used to provide website development, hosting, maintenance, back up, storage, payment processing and analysis. These service providers will only access information with instructions to do so on our behalf. They have their own privacy policies in place and have agreed to abide by the GPPR policies and procedures designed to protect your information.

Purpose:Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached your site. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.

Purpose:Used to store visitor-level custom variable data. This cookie is created when a developer uses the _setCustomVar method with a visitor level custom variable. This cookie was also used for the deprecated _setVar method. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
